Whatever softball was played over the Bristol Wreck weekend on 13-14 August at a parched Somerdale Pavilion in Keynsham, there was only one topic pf conversation: playing in an extreme heatwave, as temperatures rarely dropped below 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

The 2022 Softball World Series Tournament was played at Farnham Park on the weekend of 10-11 September, and there was a familiar winner, with the Yanks, representing Americans in the UK, defeating GB Futures in the Trophy final.

Bristol and Jersey teams take top prizes at Edinburgh Festiball

Glorious wall-to-wall sunshine provided the backdrop to the 31st Edinburgh Festiball, contested by 31 teams from the UK and Europe at Meadowmill Sports Centre on 27-28 August. A team from Jersey and two teams from Bristol took the top prizes.
Stags gain first win, then bow out at the European Men’s Super Cup

The Stags recorded their first win at the European Super Cup on Friday, beating BSK Medvednica from Croatia in the Softball Europe Cup section of the tournament. But then a loss to the Dutch team Vennep Flyers knocked the Stags out of the competition.
