Women players needed for Swiss team at the World Series

A team from Switzerland has entered the 2011 Softball World Series Tournament at the Concorde Club on the weekend of September 10-11, but they are short a couple of women players and are looking for British players who can help them out.
London Cup brings international fastpitch back to the UK

International fastpitch competition returned to the UK for the first time since 2006 when teams from Denmark and Croatia, and four teams from Britain, played a thoroughly enjoyable London Cup Invitational Tournament at Richings Park Sports Club near Langley on the weekend of May 28-29. The British club team Richings Park took the title, with the Danish National Women’s Team second and the GB Under-19 Women’s Team third.

Bobcats tame Tigers in West Midlands softball opening round

For the first time in nearly a decade, competitive softball returned to the West Midlands on Sunday, May 15 at the Hallfield School in Edgbaston, Birmingham as three teams played the first round of the 2011 West Midlands Championship: the Birmingham Bobcats, Coventry Tigers and Leamington Hawks.
Fakenham fastpitch girls end their season with a doubleheader split

The Fakenham Softball Association Girls’ Fastpitch Team traveled to RAF Alconbury on Saturday, May 21 to play their final games of the season against RAF Lakenheath and RAF Alconbury.

The sun shone brightly on the LSF Co-ed First Ball Tournament at Old Deer Park in London on Saturday, May 21, with 27 teams taking part. Team Lakenheath won the B-grade competition and A Few Good Raiders, one of four teams from the Raiders Softball Club playing in the C tournament, took the C-grade title.

The Diamond Softball Series opened its fifth anniversary season on the weekend of May 14-15 at Farnham Park with decent weather and a record-breaking 51 teams competing in three divisions.
