Chalfont Softball Club to run Indoor Jingle Balls Tournament

Chalfont Softball Club is inviting entries to a brand new indoor competition, the Jingle Balls Tournament, to be played in the run-up to Christmas on Sunday 15 December in Rickmansworth.

Windmill Classic Slowpitch Tournament in Holland next July

A major slowpitch tournament, the Windmill Classic, featuring men's, women's and co-ed competition, will be held in Almere, Holland on 25-27 July 2014, and teams from all over Europe are invited.

Bristol Phoenix win Autumn Cotswold Tournament

Twelve teams competed in good weather on Sunday 6 October in the Autumn Cotswold Tournament at Archway School in Stroud, with Phoenix from Bristol winning the Championship Trophy, Splitters winning the Plate Trophy and MK Diamonds 1 winning the Third Place Playoff award.

Great year at Maidenhead Softball Club

2013 has been a fantastic time for Maidenhead Softball Club, including achieving a Clubmark award and running a successful schools programme. The year was capped by the club running its first 'Hit and Run Tournament' on 29 September.

Anzacs capture fourth World Series title

The Anzacs won their second Softball World Series title in succession at the British Airways Concorde Club over the weekend of 14-15 September, and their fourth overall, joining Africa as the team with the most wins in World Series history.

Mescalitos, Dazzlers and Base Jumpers take GLSML Lastball trophies

Due to popular demand, the Greater London Softball Mixed League's Lastball 13 Tournament on Saturday 17 August at Riverside Lands in Chiswick was expanded to 26 teams. Mescalitos, Dazzlers and Base Jumpers won the three divisional trophies.

Chromies win another Premier Nationals title

Chromies swept to their fifth title in the past eight years at the BSF's Co-ed Slowpitch Premier National Championships on a beautiful late summer weekend on 31 August-1 September at Farnham Park. Chromies defeated perennial contenders H2O 18-11 in a final in which a record nine home runs went soaring over the outfield fence.

Greensox win Grand Final at 23rd Edinburgh Festiball
27 August 2013
Two Manchester teams – the Greensox and the Lions – met in the Grand Final of the 23rd Edinburgh Festiball on the weekend of 24-25 August, and the Greensox triumphed 5-3 on a massive late home run by Michael Lee. Other winners were Blitz and Finsbury Dazzlers from London and Honey Badgers from Glasgow.

London Angels win the European Cup!

They had to come from behind in the seventh inning, and again in the eighth after a long rain delay, but the London Angels somehow found a way to overcome the Eagles from Switzerland and win the European Women's B Pool Cup on Saturday in Dupnitsa, Bulgaria.
