Leicester baseball and softball clubs to hold “Come and Try” softball sessions starting October 16

The opportunity to try out the sport of softball and then play for one of Leicester's softball clubs is now available thanks to National Lottery funding that will support 10 "Come and Try" sessions this autumn run jointly by the Leicester Blue Sox Baseball Club and Leicester Royals Softball Club..

Softball beginners’ sessions to run indoors in Nottingham

Indoor sessions to attract new players to slowpitch softball will be run in Nottingham on Tuesday evenings for six weeks, from October 11 through November 15 -- and all six sessions will cost only £15!

Leeds Softball Association to host charity tournament and open day

The Leeds Softball Association will host the Girlsball Tournament on the Sunday 4 September 2011 at Wellington Place, Leeds. The charity competition is in support of Breast Cancer Haven Leeds, and will be accompanied by an open day of fun softball activities for newcomers to the sport.

BSF to run equipment donation campaign for new teams

The British Softball Federation will be running an equipment donation campaign throughout the 2011 season under the slogan "Bring a Bat, Give a Glove!" to provide equipment to new softball teams and leagues just starting out in the UK.
