Mark Reid and Niall Aitken from the DohNuts team in the Edinburgh Softball League shared £9000 in prize money as part of a five-person team that defeated some of the country's top quiz champions on the BBC2 quiz show Eggheads on April 14.
Dermot Murnaghan hosts the show, where each week a new team of challengers take on probably the greatest general knowledge quiz team in Britain -- The Eggheads -- made up of some of the country's top quiz champions.
The Scottish players and their teammates overcame Weakest Link winner CJ de Mooi in a first-phase head-to-head duel, and then the challengers beat the rest of the Eggheads on a sudden death specialist round question to take home the money.
