10 December 2020: The BaseballSoftballUK Ltd (BSUK) Board of Directors has announced today that the British Baseball Federation (BBF) ceases to be a Member, with immediate effect. The decision follows a BSUK Board meeting last night.

The British Softball Federation (BSF) fully supports the action taken by the BSUK Board.  The BBF's membership of BSUK had become untenable and the situation has harmed all three organisations.  While today's separation of the BBF from BSUK and the BSF is necessary, we are extremely saddened that our 20-year partnership has come to an end.

The BSF stands behind BSUK's founding principle of baseball and softball being stronger together and therefore supports the continued development of baseball through BSUK.  We are in full support of the work of the BSUK Board and staff and have full confidence in the structure and governance of BSUK.  We will continue to play our part in the organisation and in the execution of BSUK's "Two Sports, One Ambition" strategy launched earlier this year.

Looking forward, we will work with BSUK to secure the return of baseball to the organisation with proper representation and strong leadership.  For the intermediate period, where the BSF is the sole Member, we are committed to business as usual and to delivering our statutory and Member obligations.
