One post still remains unfilled on the BSF Executive -- that of Welfare Officer.
This is a key role to ensure that the Federation fulfils its safeguarding and welfare responsibilities and the BSF is looking for a suitable candidate to come forward to be co-opted onto the Executive.
The main responsibilities of the Welfare Officer will be to:
- Promote welfare policies and best practice throughout the sport, including encouraging all teams and clubs to appoint and train their own Welfare Officers.
- Keep the Executive aware of welfare issues and developments.
- Liaise with BSUK if and when welfare issues arise.
The Welfare Officer will be a member of the BSF Executive, but will not be a Director of BSF Ltd, and may not have to attend all BSF Executive meetings.
