London Fastpitch Softball League gets off to a flying start

The rain held off, the players came from everywhere, the quality of play was surprisingly high and the London Fastpitch Softball League, now with 12 teams where there were just five last year, got off to a tremendous start with a great day of softball at Richings Park on Sunday, May 8.

The European Softball Federation started film and web-streaming games from some of its top fastpitch competitions last year, and now the ESF is offering a box set of five DVDs with Championship games from five different 2010 tournaments.

BSF supports Home Runs for Kids campaign

The US military-based BBK (BeBe's Kidz) Slowpitch Softball Club in Germany, which sends a team to our Softball World Series every year, has issued a European-wide challenge to softball teams to raise money for children's charities of their choice, and the BSF is putting its support behind the project.

BSF gains £10,000 Sport England grant for fastpitch development

The British Softball Federation has been awarded a £10,000 grant from Sport England for a three-year youth fastpitch development programme whose delivery will be organised largely by BSUK.

BSF to run equipment donation campaign for new teams

The British Softball Federation will be running an equipment donation campaign throughout the 2011 season under the slogan "Bring a Bat, Give a Glove!" to provide equipment to new softball teams and leagues just starting out in the UK.
