Anzacs slug their way to World Series title

In the most extraordinary Trophy Final in the 14-year history of BSUK's Softball World Series Tournament, played at the BA Concorde Club near Heathrow on September 15-16, the Anzacs and the GB Masters combined to blast a total of 14 home runs – seven each – over a friendly outfield fence. But when the barrage was over, it was the Anzacs who prevailed by 29-23 to win their third World Series title.

Academy dates announced for winter season

BaseballSoftballUK has announced dates for National Academy Softball sessions over the 2012-13 closed season at the Dome in Milton Keynes, plus dates for GB Softball national team training sessions at Milton Keynes and Regional Academy Softball sessions in Nottingham and in the South (probably London).

Chromies' home runs win the Premier Nationals This was supposed to be the year that H2O finally won the BSF's Premier National Championship, played on the weekend of September 1-2 at Parrs Wood School in Manchester. The London Angels were within touching distance of a medal in the 2012 European Women's Fastpitch B Pool Cup – but a 2-1 Page Playoff loss to the Eagles from Lucerne, Switzerland meant that the Angels had to settle for fourth place.

Lost Souls take top prize at the Festiball

The Lost Souls, a team made up of NSL/GB players mixed in with players from the Edinburgh league team Souls, held off a late rally by the 2012 Platinum Champions Manchester Greensox to take the top prize – the Pentlands Cup – at the 2012 Edinburgh Festiball, played over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
