About the event:
This is an annual co-ed slowpitch fundraising tournament in memory of Alex Hall, for many years a member of the Manchester Softball League, who passed away at a very young age. The proceeds go to the hospice where Alex was looked after to help support future patients. The event is a fun tournament where individuals sign up and are assigned to teams, but with enough selection to ensure that all teams have all positions covered. Everyone gets a tournament T-shirt, and there is usually a picnic for all the teams at lunchtime, plus a variety of competitions. In 2021, we are hoping to have pitching and batting clinics with former GB players. The games have jokers and chance cards where runs can be lost and won, with all proceeds going to the hospice. Over the years, players from Leeds, Ireland, Manchester, Liverpool and elsewhere have come together to play in this event. Sign up via email or through the Alex Hall Tournament on Facebook.
