Open trials for the GB Co-ed Slowpitch Team will be held on Sunday, October 24 at the National Training Centre at Upper Heyford. The fact that European Slowpitch Championships will be played again in 2011 should provide an extra incentive for triallists.

Mark Saunders to step down as GB Slowpitch Head Coach

GB Slowpitch Team Head Coach Mark Saunders has informed the BSF of his decision to stand down from the position. But Mark will be happy to stay on until a new Head Coach is appointed and the handover is satisfactorily completed.

ESF to create "Softball.TV" website

The European Softball Federation (ESF) is creating a new website that will show top softball games from around the world as well as hosting local softball videos. And to start things off, the Grand Finals from the European Women's A Pool Cup and Cup-Winners Cup were streamed live on August 21.

London Angels relegated to the European Cup-Winners Cup B Pool

By losing their final game at the European Women's Cup-Winners A Pool Cup to Viladecans of Spain on August 20 by a score of 5-3, the London Angels Women's Fastpitch Team finished in tenth place and without a win at the competition, and will be relegated to the B Pool for 2011.

Penguins end European Cup adventure on a winning note

Saturday, August 21 – The Richings Park Penguins finished the European Women's B Pool Cup Tournament in San Marino on a winning note yesterday with an 8-5 comeback win over the Barracudas from Denmark. With three teams finishing on the same number of points, runs conceded left the Penguins in eighth place out of 11 teams.

Penguins win at European Cup leaves them playing for seventh place

Friday, August 20 – The Richings Park Penguins finally managed a win yesterday at the European Cup B Pool Tournament in San Marino, defeating MSK Brzeg from Poland 17-13. But a later 7-3 loss to Akademiks from Bulgaria means the British team will play one final game today in a bid to finish in seventh place.
