Tue 20 Feb 2018

The draw has been announced by Softball Europe for the European Men’s Fastpitch Championship, to be played from 25-30 June in the town of Havlickuv Brod, in the Czech Republic.

The tournament has attracted a record number of entries, with 12 countries having registered, though countries can still withdraw before 1 March without penalty.

Assuming that no one drops out, the tournament will begin with two six-team round-robins, and the Great Britain team, seeded fifth, have been drawn in Pool A along with the European Champion Czech Republic and Belgium, who had a highest-ever third place finish when the tournament was last held in 2016.

Head Coach Kevin Stockford has organised a trial for this year’s GB Men’s Fastpitch Team for Saturday 17 March in Milton Keynes, and selections will follow shortly thereafter.
