BSUK & Baseball Outlet Announce Wearable Kit Partnership

Mon 6 Jan 2020

BaseballSoftballUK and UK-based Baseball Outlet are pleased to announce a three year partnership that sees Baseball Outlet become the ‘Official Wearable Kit Supplier’ for BaseballSoftballUK and its programmes including the Academy and High Performance Academy. The announcement comes following BaseballSoftballUK’s invitation to tender for Wearable Kit earlier in the year and a rigorous review process.

Opened by Joe Black in 2017, Baseball Outlet is a specialist supplier of sports equipment and clothing based in Merseyside where they operate retail premises, in-house garment decoration and a warehouse. Baseball Outlet works with top brands including Wilson, Louisville Slugger, Rawlings, Nike, Evoshield, DeMarini, adidas and Easton and already services leading adult and youth baseball and fastpitch softball teams around the country. Baseball Outlet is part of the EP Sports brand, also owned by Joe, which counts 12 years’ experience working with top brands and is now the largest American Football store in Europe.

As part of the Wearable Kit agreement, Baseball Outlet will provide wearable kit to all BaseballSoftballUK programmes and potentially the baseball and softball playing base in the UK. Team and club garments can be customised from a wide-range of sports and leisurewear which can then be distributed via a dedicated online team shop. Once a template is designed, clothing can then be supplied as single units, avoiding the requirement for large up-front investments and bulk purchase.

Teams and clubs can set up a "shop" page on the Baseball Outlet website (https://www.baseballoutlet.co.uk/baseball-softball-team-stores.html) which can be linked to a website or social media page.

Existing clients of Baseball Outlet include the Liverpool Trojans, and General Manager Ian Blease said, “We’ve used Baseball Outlet for our off-field teamwear for the past couple of years. Every time we have used them, they have listened to our needs and once the order is confirmed, the service flows very smoothly and speedily.”

Sian Wiggington from The Mix Softball Team commented,"We couldn’t speak more highly of Baseball Outlet. From the initial contact to the receiving of our hoodies, the entire process was flawless and professional. The entire team loved the quality of the hoodies and we are still wearing them now to competitions. We will most definitely be ordering from [Baseball Outlet] again."

The Kent Crushers have also worked with Baseball Outlet in the past, and team founder Ross Presnell noted that, “The service that was provided was 1st class - quick responses to questions and a very professional set up.”

To kick start the partnership, Baseball Outlet will be attending BaseballSoftballUK Coach Summit 2020 in Milton Keynes, on 25 January, followed by the BSF AGM in Manchester on 29 February where league, team and club representatives will have the opportunity to meet the team in person.

Commenting on the partnership, Joe Black, said, “We are incredibly excited to build on our relationship with BaseballSoftballUK as their Official Wearable Kit Supplier. This opportunity gives us the chance to serve more of the baseball and softball community in the UK than ever before, with the best quality products on the market. We look forward to partnering with BaseballSoftballUK, and, most importantly, the players and clubs across the United Kingdom for years to come.”

“We’re very excited that Baseball Outlet has signed on as our Official Wearable Kit Supplier,” said John Boyd, BaseballSoftballUK CEO. “This partnership expands our work with Baseball Outlet in a way that will directly benefit the baseball and softball playing community. Joe Black and his team have put together a great new online team shop with top-rated brands and products, giving our playing community the best possible options for their needs over the years to come.”
