    GB Juniors gift playoff game to Holland

    The GB Junior (Under-19) Women’s Fastpitch Team failed to support a fine effort by pitcher Ellie Pamenter and gifted the first game of the second round playoffs at the European Junior Championships to Holland on Wednesday by a score of 10-1.  The GB Team now has to win their remaining two second round games to have a chance at reaching the final Page Playoff and qualiying for the 2013 Women’s World Championships.

    GB Juniors fail to take chance against Czechs

    The GB Junior (Under-19) Women’s Fastpitch Team had every chance on Tuesday against a Czech Republic team that was there for the taking—but GB blew the opportunity and will have to settle for second place in Group C—which will mean harder games when the the playoff round-robin begins on Wednesday.

    GB Junior Women open at Euros

    The GB Junior (Under-19) Women’s Fastpitch Team will play their opening game at the 2012 European Junior Championship on Monday, July 23 at the Gryphons Softball Coub in Rosmalen, near Den Bosch in Holland.  GB will take on Israel on Monday and the Czech Republic on Tuesday.

    GB selections made for summer fastpitch tournaments

    GB national team coaches have made their selections for the GB Junior (Under-19) Women’s Fastpitch Team that will play in European Championships this summer in Holland and the GB Cadette (Under-16) Girls’ Fastpitch Team that will travel to the Tuscany Series in Italy to gain competition experience.  Two final selections have also been made for the GB Women’s Team for the World Championships in Canada.

    The Fakenham Girls’ Fastpitch Softball Team recorded another stunning win against the RAF Lakenheath Varsity on Wednesday, April 18, this time on the Americans’ home diamond, by a score of 11-3.

    Fakenham Girls’ Fastpitch Team wins opening doubleheader

    The Fakenham High Schools Girls’ Fastpitch Team from Norfolk opened their season on Saturday, March 24 with a closely-fought home doubleheader win over RAF Lakenheath, behind the pitching of Amie Hutchison and some timely late-inning batting.

    Registration now open for Great Britain Fastpitch League

    The Great Britain Fastpitch League is now inviting individual player registration by both youth and adult players for the 2012 season.  The league will have adult, Under-17 and Under-14 divisions and will play on six Saturdays in May, June, July and August at Richings Park Sports Club in Iver, Bucks, not far from Heathrow Airport.

    The GB Under-13 Girls’ Fastpitch Team is looking for new players for the summer season, with two teams scheduled to compete in the European Softball Federation’s first annual Massimo Romeo Youth Trophy in Parma, Italy in August 2012.e in the European Softball Federation’s first annual Massimo Romeo Youth Cup in Parma, Italy.

    ISF announces next two hosts for Junior Women’s World Championships

    The International Softball Federation has announced that the next two Junior (Under-19) Women’s World Championships will be held in 2013 in Brampton, Ontario (Canada) and in 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (USA).
