GB Slowpitch Open scheduled for Manchester

The 2014 GB Slowpitch Open tournament has been scheduled for Saturday 3 May in Manchester. This tournament is designed as a fun event for the teams that take part but also to raise money for the GB Slowpitch Team and raise the team's profile in the softball community.

GB Women get wild card for Worlds

The GB Women's Fastpitch Team will be going to the ISF Women's World Championships in Holland this summer after being given a wild card entry to the tournament by the International Softball Federation.

Slowpitch World Cup looks to a bright future

The third ISF Co-ed Slowpitch World Cup, played in Plant City, Florida from 23-26 January, featured an increased number of participants and a pledge from the International Softball Federation to continue the competition on an annual basis. But how exactly this might happen remains to be determined.

National Kickball Day to raise funds for GB Teams

The BSF has designated Sunday 4 May as National Kickball Day. With no other tournaments or events on the calendar that day, the BSF is asking as many softball leagues or teams as possible to run local Kickball Tournaments to raise money for their league and for national teams.

GB Junior Women look for playoff place

Following the draw at the ESF Congress on 15 February to establish round-robin groups for this summer's European Junior (Under-19) Women's Championships, the GB Team now knows what it has to do to get to the playoffs and a possible medal place.

Chichester Falcons to run second Charity Softball Tournament

Birmingham Softball League is here to stay!

2013 was the first season for the new Birmingham Softball League (BSL) and while it was hard work for those doing the organisation, with inevitable teething problems and a team folding half way through the season, the league managed to run successfully for 15 weeks.

GB Slowpitch shut down in World Cup final

The GB Slowpitch Team will be bringing a silver medal home from the ISF Slowpitch World Cup that ended in Plant City, Florida on Sunday 26 January, rather than the hoped-for gold. The GB offense was shut down in the final by the USA Ink Daddyz, who were 18-3 winners.

The GB Slowpitch Team powered past both of the American teams in two wildly contrasting games at the ISF Slowpitch World Cup in Plant City, Florida on Saturday afternoon and evening to earn themselves a place in Sunday's final.

GB Slowpitch ends round-robin with a win

The GB Co-ed Slowpitch Team had the expected easy win on Saturday morning against the Turks & Caicos Islands by 23-4 to wrap up round-robin play with a 5-2 record at the ISF Slowpitch World Cup in Plant City, Florida. The playoffs begin this afternoon.
