    It was a brilliant day of sunshine and softball in Gloucestershire on Sunday 21 May as 12 teams competed at the annual Spring Cotswold Tournament at Archway School in Stroud and the Bristol Bees emerged as tournament champions.

    Pioneers and Blitz take the early lead in NSL standings

    The first weekend of play in the BSF’s National Softball League for 2017 took place at the opening Diamond Series tournament on 13-14 May at Farnham Park, and the early pacesetters are last year’s National Champions Pioneers in NSL 1 and Blitz in NSL 2.

    Manchester season gets off to a rainless start with 24-team Firstball

    Twenty-four teams took part in the 2017 Manchester Firstball tournament on the weekend of 29-30 April at Parrs Wood High School in Didsbury – eight teams at Comp level and 16 Rec teams.  Manchester Dodgers won the Comp Gold trophy while the London Raiders took the Rec Silver Cup and Manchester’s Two Tribes captured the Rec Bronze title.

    Manchester Dodgers win season-opening East Midlands First Ball

    The weather mostly held on a cloudy day at Charnwood College in Loughborough for the 16 teams that entered the East Midlands First Ball on Saturday 1 April, traditionally the opening co-ed slowpitch event of the season.
