BSF announces changes to NSL and Nationals in 2022

The BSF Executive is announcing a major change to the way the National Softball League (NSL) will be run, starting in 2022, and has also agreed on changes to regulations for the Co-ed Slowpitch League and NSL National Championships.

Travelling Dodgers and Tempest take 2021 NSL Nationals titles

After a two-year Covid break, the BSF’s NSL National Championships returned to Farnham Park on 4-5 September. Tempest won their second straight NSL2 crown, but a new NSL1 winner was declared after the Travelling Dodgers powered to their first title.

NSL Nationals return this weekend after a two-year break

National Softball League play returned to Britain this summer, albeit in a form still restricted by Covid. Now the BSF’s NSL National Championships will return, for the first time since 2019, when 16 qualifiers from NSL1 and NSL2 compete at Farnham Park on 4-5 September.

It was a wet weekend at the Farnham Park National Baseball & Softball Complex on 7-8 August, but that didn’t dampen spirits as the British Softball Federation Co-Ed Slowpitch League National Championships took place for the first time since 2019.

Eight teams claim NSL2 Nationals places after final weekend of league play

The second weekend of league play in National Softball League 2 took place on the hot weekend of 17-18 July alongside the Diamond Series Tournament at Farnham Park, and when the dust had settled, eight teams had claimed places in this year’s NSL2 Nationals in September.

Knights dethrone Pioneers in great NSL1 final

It had been 10 years since anyone other than Pioneers or Chromies had won BSF's the A-grade NSL National Championship, but over the weekend of 31 August-1 September at Farnham Park, the Windsor Knights broke the duopoly in thrilling fashion.

NSL3 Nationals promote Camels & Ducks to NSL2

The BSF's NSL3 Nationals, played at Parrs Wood School in Manchester on 31 August-1 September, was a triumph for the Spittin' Camels from Manchester, who won the tournament and also gained promotion to NSL2 for 2020, along with London's Fuzzy Ducks.

Fuzzy Ducks win again at BSF League Nationals

A windblown BSF League National Championships tournament at Farnham Park on 10-11 August produced four winners, two very different but outstanding finals in the Comp division, and what is by now becoming an old refrain: another top trophy for the GLSML's Fuzzy Ducks.

Teams announced for NSL3 National Championship

The British Softball Federation's NSL3 National Championship, to be played on the weekend of 31 August-1 September in Manchester, will be contested by eight teams, with the top two teams in the table when the tournament is over promoted to NSL2 for the 2020 season.
