UCE Travellers win European Slowpitch Cup

At the beginning of the European Slowpitch Super Cup in the Czech Republic, no one would have thought this result possible. But on Saturday 2 August, the UCE Travellers from Germany upset first H2O in the pre-final and then Chromies in the final to win the tournament and put a new name on the trophy.

Pioneers win 2014 NSL Championship

Pioneers have won the 2014 National Softball League Championship, following the last NSL competition results at Diamond 3 on 26-27 July, and will be the top seed at the Premier Nationals, scheduled for 30-31 August at Farnham Park.

H2O draws first blood against the Chromies

In the first of three games that H2O and the Chromies will probably play against each other on the road to the European Slowpitch Super Cup title in the Czech Republic, H2O drew first blood on Thursday morning with a 19-10 win in the first game of the Championship round-robin.

Chromies and H2O are set for Euro Cup clash

As expected, the Chromies and H2O finished at the top of their first round-robin groups at the European Slowpitch Super Cup in the Czech Republic with unbeaten records, and look set to take their rivalry all the way to the final.

British teams start hot at Slowpitch Super Cup

The forecast rain mostly stayed away and the 2014 European Slowpitch Super Cup got off to a busy start on Tuesday 29 July in Mlade Buky and Trutnov in the Czech Republic, with the two British entries, the Chromies and H2O, mowing down every team that has so far crossed their path.

The sixth European Slowpitch Cup competition – but the first to be played as a 'Super Cup', with more than one entry allowed per country – will get under way (weather permitting) in the northern Czech towns of Mlade Buky and Trutnov on Tuesday 29 July.

Border Battle starts for Team Europe Slowpitch

The Men's Slowpitch Team that is representing Europe in the Border Battle Tournament in Kitchener, Ontario opened with games against Team Quebec and Team USA on 24 July, and took a lot of positives from their two losses.

Czechs win European Junior Championships
26 July 2014
Czech pitcher Veronika Petkova, who threw an impressive shutout against Great Britain on Thursday, pitched the Czech Republic to the European Junior Championship title by defeating Italy 5-0 in the Page Playoff 1v2 game on Friday evening, and defeating them again in Saturday's Grand Final by a score of 5-3.
