Technical Officer and BASU Representative to the BSF Executive

Chris MoonChris Moon, a long-time slowpitch umpire and currently Training Officer for the British Association of Softball Umpires (BASU), has been nominated by BASU as its representative on the BSF Executive.  In this role, and in his capacity as Technical Officer for the BSF, Chris is responsible for advising the Executive on rule changes and modifications in the sport and on technical aspects of all National Championship tournaments, working in liaison with the BSF Tournaments Officers and representatives from the leagues or clubs hosting these events.

Other facets of Chris's role include interpreting the playing rules for all types of softball, liaising with BASU on behalf of the Federation and the Executive, promoting umpire training clinics and establishing a Code of Conduct for umpires.

Chris is a former Chair of the Bristol Softball Association, and is also an ESF-qualified slowpitch umpire, frequently representing Great Britain on the umpire crews at European slowpitch events.
